Well, it's been a while since I've said much here.

Fall break, which was mentioned in the last post, went well. I honestly didn't do much, but going to the Wings game was amazing. Even if the Wings lost.

Since then, however, I went home last weekend. The main purpose was to walk to the cider mill (apple orchard) with my friends, as we've done that on Halloween the last few years. This eventually turned into playing poker for candy in Taco Bell, which was also amazing. That I actually managed to win, surprisingly enough.

I start floor hockey tonight. We'll see how that goes; I still don't know that we've decided on any kinds of positions just yet. I'm guessing I'll end up as defense or in goal; should be a bit better there, and we've got more volunteers for forwards. Somebody named us the Ladybugs, which is not exactly my choice of a name, but I don't really much care.

I've taken to watching episodes of "X-Men: The Animated Series" online. Cartoon from the '90s, but hey, I needed to do something. Gotta say, I think I like it better than the more recent movies. And now I want to read the comics. Gambit is amazing. Just saying. If I ever get a Belgian Tervuren, I'm naming it after him. Because I think he looks a bit like a Terv, for some reason. I do find it interesting how differently the characters are portrayed in different versions. Gambit is definitely my favorite, but I actually like most of the characters. Well, Morph was really annoying, but he died in the first episode, so... Yeah. And Jubilee gets a touch irritating, too. Plus Wolverine needs to learn to tone it back a bit, but he's Wolverine. I think it comes with the name that he's going to be hot-tempered and stubborn.

I might get to go home next weekend. Depends in large part on if my Russian class is canceled (I'm thinking it's going to be) and if my seminar professor lets me go. If so, then I'll have a four-day weekend. Which would be nice, but would entail going home. As I'm not staying here that long.

Oh, and I'm getting a new roommate. The previous one is moving in with a bunch of other people, and everything got shifted around so that now I'm getting a new one. We'll see how that goes. Should be fine, but if she comes in drunk to the point that she's going to be vomiting, I'm not letting her in the room to stink it up. Even if that sounds a bit harsh, perhaps she'd learn a lesson from it.
